Check if what is the best provider from your Toshiba, and try to look at the call baring. I'm agreeing that you need to insert another Sim card and make a call duration, try to refresh it.
Hi,

I really want to try v1.5 as my G900 went bezerk on friday afternoon but for some reason when accessing any of the depositfiles.com I get the following message:

"We are sorry, but all downloading slots for your country are busy."

I am currently using V1.2 which seems ok for the time being.

Is it possible to upload the dutch v1.5 and the kitchen v1.4 to another location?

Avi.

Update: I used a server from my work located in the USA. I got the ROMs and the Kitchen. Thanks!
If the usb cable have no problem, then must to change the mini usb outlet. It's simply to solve this.

In the US we have AT&T and T-Mobile that both use GSM for voice calls and HSPA for data.

Yes I know that the mini usb port needs to be repaired / changed. I was asking for recommendations on where to get the part, or if there is a good repair shop that can do the repair for me.

Hope that clarifies.
I may be taking it to xpresscellrepair.com now that they have locations near me... hope this helps someone else in the future. Will report back if they can straighten out my G810 or revive my old HTC Tilt...
I'm using GPRS/EDGE almost 24h/day.
With this ROM exactly.
Can you describe little what kind of problems you have with this ROM?
Better if you also attach some screenshots.

It based on your software on one post

The new version supports drag&drop so there isn't need for an UI anymore, just drag the ROM file over the EXE and the update file will appear.

Thank you but my software is based on old wersion
hi dralpk,

thanks for this nice Reply.

I hope its the solution of the Problem, but the last time I tried a other Rom, it Work a little time before the Problem comes back.

I'am testing the same Rom without hard reset since one Week now. It works good by now. I hope the Rom is the Solution.

If the Problem comes back, i will test the Hard reset solution.

Thank you so far.

The ROM (build 28230 ) really does not support chinese , but the 23541 is OK.

If you are sure 23541 works better with chinese I can try using that build too.

For the chinese font file (Yahei is about 10Mb ) is very big , I think you can delete some other system compoment or delete some other software.

Agree. I think you may delete some compoment such as Bing/Marketplace/Messernger/Microsoft My phone, cause they are no use in China.
I have found the msyahei.ttf font but it's 21mb, how I'm supposed to put it inside the ROM without removing plenty of stuff?

Hi,

I have had the same problem since I ve had bought my G900 in December 2007

I tried many solutions (many roms) but couldnt manage to fix the problem

2 weeks ago I realised that I had never made a hard reset.

Before I setup the new rom [ROM] WM6.5.3-28230 MULTILANGUAGE (19 languages) v1.5(17/02) , I made a hard reset by
1. Shut down G900 Press Power button long. Press yes to shut down
2. On the keyboard press and hold the green function button on left lower side + BS (Backspace) button on right upper side + Power button.
3. It asks Clean Boot?
4. Press Y
5. Then reboots (hard resets)
6. after that shut down G900
7. Setup the the new rom

Since then I did not face "Unknown Caller then reboot" problem.

I dont know the reason, may be the new rom is perfect.

Nevermind ıt worked at all.

You may give a chance. I wish this helps...
_________________
Motorolla MPX 200 , İ-mate JAM , Dell Axim X30 High edition, Toshiba G900

The new version supports drag&drop so there isn't need for an UI anymore, just drag the ROM file over the EXE and the update file will appear.

wince.nls in my east-asia roms is already the chinese one taken from the MUI.

sohapy wrote:

2. copy the chinese font file to the windows dir , no need to del the Tahoma.ttf

If I don't delete tahoma then the CHT ROM may become too big to be flashable.

Can't I just replace tahoma.ttf and be done with it?

I did not test this method , you can try it (reg information must be right)

For the chinese font file (Yahei is about 10Mb ) is very big , I think you can delete some other system compoment or delete some other software.

For me , I always use the pure english system with chinese font support ROM.

no, in my case i bought the SD seperately and it has Made in Japan on its main body.
Yet i tried to start it up without it inside. I searched it by testing the voltage given by the USB to the PCB's pins and its not normal. I'm sure it has to do with the PCB unit
_________________

LOL guys, just today my phone got owned again... same day i posted.... Thats sick...
It's again PCB related, it simply doesn't power on like the first time... i'm gonna give a call to toshiba's support center tomorrow in hope to swap the phone with another model... Its been 1 month and 18 days since i got it back and now its broken down once again... I don't give a shit about replacing or waiting for the pcb to be replaced, the problem is that once again i will loose all my contacts and this is the only thing that drives me crazy.
It is supposed to be a freaking professional phone that should be reliable not this piece of crap that burns up its PCB every now and then
_________________

wince.nls in my east-asia roms is already the chinese one taken from the MUI.

If I don't delete tahoma then the CHT ROM may become too big to be flashable.

Can't I just replace tahoma.ttf and be done with it?
1, must replace the wince.nls file with the one that can support chinese
2. copy the chinese font file to the windows dir , no need to del the Tahoma.ttf
3. add the font information in the reg

for example: i have a chinese font file sunfon.ttf with font name is SC_Song

"ProportionalFont"="SC_Song"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
"Courier"="\\Windows\\tahoma.ttf,Tahoma"

Hello,

I had the same problem. i solved the problem by booting the phone with C+L+Power but with Micro SD removed.
I don't know if this is a final solution but is working for the moment.

Yes, but how do I install it? Do I have to replace tahoma.ttf with it? Is there a CAB or anything to see how it works?
Here's a new much smaller version that doesn't need the full input TF__ORCA.XLD anymore, also it supports drag&drop. I didn't test it so unless you have a JTAG don't use this until somebody else confirm it works properly.
